Best Resorts In The Smoky Mountains
Westgate Smoky Mountain Resort & Spa
The Westgate Smoky Mountain Resort is by far our favorite resort in the Smoky Mountains. The property is smoke free and offers exceptional views of the mountains. The amenities feature a golf course, the largest indoor water park in the area, sports bar, heated outdoor pools, zipline, lounge, fitness health club, Serenity Spa and more. Free WiFi in public areas and free self parking is also provided.
Back in 2016 the Smoky Mountains were affected by a wildfire, which included much of the Westgate property. Since then, the rebuilding process has come a long way but is still underway. That being said, much of the property is brand new and absolutely stunning. The construction process is expected to be completed later this year (2019).
River Terrace Resort & Convention Center
River Terrace Resort is located on the Little Pigeon River only a few miles away from the Great Smoky Mountains. Not only offering great views of the mountains, the property has a full service Drafts Sports Bar & Grill, outdoor pool, free WiFi, 22,000 square feet of meeting space, trolley service to Wild Bear Falls Water Park and much more.
The Park Vista
Perched high on a hill at the edge of the Great Smoky Mountains, The Park Vista offers incredible views. The rooms are very comfortable and have a balcony that you tend to spend a lot of time on while there. There is an onsite restaurant called the Vista Grill which offers delicious Southern foods all day long. My favorite part of this resort is the Firefly’s Patio Lounge, which is a perfect place to relax while drinking a cold beer at the end of a long day.
Smoky Mountain Resort
With a fireplace in the lobby that you gather around to enjoy, the Smoky Mountain Resort is a great option. The resort is just minutes from the Great Smoky Mountain National Park entrance. Amenities include an outdoor pool, two pools indoors, game room, gift shop, internet access and more.
